Synopsis: Change is constant. We cannot remain the same because we are progressing or regressing through our action or inaction. By taking positive steps and utilizing transformative tools, it is possible for us to grow and flourish for the common good and engage in life in a purposeful way.
M. Chere Sampson is a psychotherapist who has spent her life identifying, refining, and practicing tools that help humans live a peaceful and joyful existence. In “Can You See What Eye See?: Envision a Better You and a Better World” she draws upon her years of experience and expertise to create an enlightening and empowering guidebook that uses memorable stories, inspiring quotes, and key points that guide others to use practical and insightful life-changing concepts to build resilience amid any type of adversity, free themselves from negativity, and open their hearts to blessings while on a journey to manifesting their highest selves.
Transformation seekers will learn how to breathe through stressful moments, listen to understand, stop habitually worrying, speak their truth, let go of suffering with acceptance and gratitude, and ultimately find a path to achieving inner peace.
“Can You See What Eye See?” offers effective tools, insightful sometimes humorous stories, and inspiration that will guide anyone through positive personal transformation and growth while on a journey to fulfilling their unique purpose.
Critique: Insightfully informative, motivatingly inspirational, and thoroughly ‘reader friendly’ in organization and presentation, “Can You See What Eye See?: Envision a Better You and a Better World” is an extraordinary and unreservedly recommended addition to both community and academic library Self-Help/Self-Improvement collections. It should be noted for personal reading lists that “Can You See What Eye See?: Envision a Better You and a Better World” is also readily available in a paperback edition (9781982232733, $18.99) and in a digital book format (Kindle, $8.69).

Can You See What Eye See? Envision a Better You and a Better World by M. Chere Sampson is the product of her powerful and enlightening sessions with her group and individual clients. Aptly regarded as a “tool lady,” Sampson has spent time studying people and identifying the obstacles that hinder them from living fulfilling and happy lives. She offers each chapter as a tool or guidelines to help us align ourselves with a more rational and positive outlook. She applies age-old philosophies and sage-like wisdom to make us stop and think about our human condition and about the importance of the mind and body congruence so that we can harness the ability toward better judgment before springing into action. She looks at stress as a component that builds resilience, as most of us are unaware of how to use it and thus we break and give in.
One of the things that makes this book helpful and encouraging is that Ms. Sampson cares. Think of Can You See What Eye See as a session for readers coming together under the guidance of a professional therapist, to work on improving their lives. It is not just the work of one person’s intuition. It reflects M. Chere Sampson’s observations and conclusions based on real people in search of answers. While it’s true that each of us is unique in our own struggles, this book assures that we do not have to face our challenges alone. It helps us become aware of troubleshooting our own feelings and needs. Can You See What Eye See is especially helpful to those experiencing social anxiety, isolation, depression, and life transition.

Well written with quotes and slogans for easy daily friendly reminders of the steps I needed to take to live a full and peaceful life. The tools learned have helped me in every aspect of my life; my relationship with my family, employees, and friends. The author challenged me to take an honest look at myself and my life and answer the difficult question, “How do I want to spend/live the rest of my life?” Thank you for giving me the help I needed and to not lose hope.

This is my “go to” book when I need to remember “group” and how I usually got a lift after our Wednesday sessions. I can just open up to a chapter and imagine being with all and finding that support which we would share. Thanks Chere.

In the words of Rumi, “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” C. Sempson’s book, Can You See What Eye See” takes you gently by the hand and shines a potent light at those barriers. The book leads to awareness, emotional wellness, and authentic transformation.

Can You See What Eye See is a very imposing book because the content draws you in with real life examples of events that many of us have experienced in life but didn’t have the knowledge or experience to understand or to begin to solve them. I would encourage you to take a look and see many things through the eyes of Can You See What Eye See.

M. Chere Sampson’s book CAN YOU SEE WHAT EYE SEE? is the patiently awaited answer to the requests of her many grateful private and group clients. Each time we see her, Chere reminds us that we have the choice to align ourselves with our better instincts, and create a more rewarding life. Her ability to translate ancient and complex wisdoms into practical daily applications has motivated her admirers to continually repeat those requests: “PLEASE, WRITE A BOOK CHERE”, for us to read and share and as a tool for study and sharing by other groups in their efforts to find and express their best selves. AND SO SHE HAS. Thank you, thank you, Chere, for helping us envision and enact a better us, and a better world. Dorothy LeMaster

Amazing! One of the quotes in the book is “when you change the way you look at things – the things you look at change”. How true, undeniable, and I am surprised (and grateful for) how easily it helps me “see” things differently. Great setup… I can soak in the words one-by-one when in the mood, or just pick a relevant chapter. The quotes and short stories help me understand. And, if I’m in a big hurry or really stressed I can simply go to the end of the chapter for a summary paragraph or two and key bullet points. A life changer for me and hopefully mankind – thank you Ms. Sampson!

This is among the best self-help books I’ve read. It is peppered with captivating stories and meaningful quotes that I easily connected with. It was as if the author had spied my private thoughts; been a fly on the wall witnessing a less than cordial encounter with a family member or business associates. The author presents a fresh perspective that is knowledge based, compassionate, and importantly, current to the new landscape that interpersonal relationships demand today. The pages are full of specific actions to help readers successfully navigate the many sensitivities that have made traditional ways of interacting offensive and/or unacceptable. This is an informative, practical, enjoyable, and important book to read now. If you care about improving the relationships in your life, this book is a must read!

This book really makes you stop and think about how we process information and our own negative communication skills that make situations unproductive. Its been a real eye opener to finding ways and strategies to opening the door to peace. Learning “to be content in uncertainty.” I completely love the book. It’s so thoughtful and well written that I wouldn’t hesistate to recommend it to anyone looking for a way out of the chaos.
